Fundación BBVA México’s mission is to mobilize and channel resources to support social development programs aimed at vulnerable populations. These initiatives include scholarship programs, educational projects, cultural and artistic promotion activities, and direct assistance in the event of disasters or emergencies. Our goal is to provide sustainable opportunities that contribute to building a more equitable and just society for the benefit of Mexico.

In 2024, we integrated some scholarship recipients from the BBVA Scholarships for Inspiring Young Boys and Girls with Disabilities program into the mentorship program.

Over 7,400 BBVA employees dedicated their time to participate as mentors, contributing a total of 16,040 hours to this initiative.

We reaffirm our commitment to inclusion by recognizing and supporting scholarship recipients who speak indigenous languages within the BBVA Scholarships for Inspiring Young Boys and Girls program. We conduct a thorough data collection to identify these students, aiming to enhance their social mobility and reduce the structural inequalities they face.

The program not only acknowledges cultural and linguistic diversity as a strength, but also actively works to promote equitable opportunities for this group, contributing to the preservation and appreciation of their roots while helping them build their future.

How does the Supérate platform work?

Supérate is an accessible and free platform that can be accessed from a computer with an internet connection.
The estimated cost of the platform is $7.9 million pesos, which is fully absorbed by the Foundation.

As a digital ecosystem, users can interact with peers, access a library of digital resources, and follow their personalized learning path —all within one single platform.

In 2023, BBVA México planted a seed of hope in Guerrero after the devastating Hurricane Otis, contributing $50 million to encourage society to support the educational reconstruction of seven affected municipalities in the region.

Thanks to the solidarity of partners, foundations, organizations, and citizens in general, we raised over 116 million pesos, which generated returns of 11.5 million pesos.

Through this strategy, Supérate reached 10,845 students and 1,331 teachers.

Through Supérate we have managed to minimize learning loss in the municipalities affected by Hurricane Otis.

The results of Supérate show that the greatest improvements post-training are observed in the students who were most behind in the diagnostic assessment.
